For each of my works, I select the best-suited camera from a range of analog and digital cameras. Sometimes I decide not to use a camera at all if I feel that this will be the most suitable approach for a given work.
I do this not because I want to finish my works the way I imagine them, but because I think this way my photographs better capture the things that are invisible to the eye along with those that can be seen.
My first impression of the fp L was similar to my first impression of the current fp—that it is a very light and portable camera. There is no need for me to say much about its image resolution or other technical data, but the image quality of the camera is more than enough to create high quality prints for photo exhibitions. One thing I like in particular about the fp L is its external electronic viewfinder. It offers superb image quality, with visual nuances that are comparable to an optical viewfinder. Looking through it, I was able to compose my shots with care and accuracy. I imagine that people who also photograph with analog cameras will find the fp L more comfortable to use thanks to this viewfinder.
I have tried out many different lenses with the fp L but in the end I stuck with the SIGMA 105mm F2.8 DG DN MACRO | Art for all my captures.
I took these photographs within a 1.5km radius around my house. Because I was interested in the camera’s objectivity I did not add any post-processing in Photoshop or any other software. I simply set my highlights and shadows in the camera using the physical tone button, selected my favorite modes (Duotone, Powder Blue) with the color button, took my photographs and then saved them as JPG files without any further adjustments.
