Why the MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 and MC-21 are not compatible with lenses other than the Art, Contemporary, or Sports line lenses?

It is because the AF control system of the Art, Contemporary, and Sports lines of lenses is different from those of the lenses of earlier generations.
